nani IRO Flowers Bloom Naomi Ito for Kokka (new 2023 collection)

nani IRO is a premium Japanese textile often seen as beautiful collections of art and watercolour still life on fabrics.

I painted this as if I’m translating the lushness of plants with watercolors, hoping it comes through on the fabric.
I brought an image of life force appearing through ink wash painting, which exists in between abstract and figurative art.
